The external stressors (bosses movesets & damage output) are not in my control, but my reaction to them (how I react to each move of the boss) is in my control, so focus on what I can control. It also helped teach me about what is in my control & what is not. As a clinical anxious person, I have found that soulslike games have helped me and taught me so much on how to deal with my anxiety, in multiple different layers.įirst of all, I've learnt to respect boss fights, I find that the game demands me to calm down, watch every move, take a deep breath and don't panic.
